Rolling stone just disclosed The 50 Best Albums of 2020, and BTS Map Of The Soul:7 lands number 16 on the list.
Map of the soul:7 released February this year, is the BTS seventh album, and fourth to atop the Billboard charts in the past two years.
Sharing the reasons for the selection, Rolling stone noted that “Map [of the Soul: 7] lives up to its title with heartfelt individual confessions like Suga’s rap-star space fantasy Interlude: Shadow. But the high point is Moon, Jin’s wonderstruck love song to the audience, where he pledges his devotion over jangling guitars.”
RS didn’t forget to acknowledge BTS’s individuality in winning the international audience with their local language. Indeed, it is rare for artists to shine globally while holding on to their roots.
